As I've previously mentioned, I walk through a shopping mall every day to and from work. Each morning, lunchtime and evening I pass what we call The Cream People. They work for a small beauty stall located under the escalator; showing off hand cream to entice would-be customers to the stand. The strange quirk about them is their tactic: they ask passer-bys if they'd like to try some moistouriser by thrusting the tube in front of their face and grunting. When this fails and the victim has walked past, the Cream People will follow them and talk to the person's back: "can I ask you one question?". I've never found out what this one question is but can only imagine the rest of their patter is as creepy as their approach...
